117th Boston Marathon starts

BOSTON (AP) a' The women's battle has begun at the Boston marathon. Americans Shalane Flanagan and Kara Goucher were at the front for the elite women's start. They are attempting to function as first U.S. winner at the world's oldest annual convention since 1985. The men's field is appointed to go off 28 minutes later, at 10 a.m. The temperature was 48 degrees with several clouds in the air, perfect situations for the 117th running of the race. Temperatures were likely to reach the mid-50s. That is a whole lot diverse from this past year, when conditions spiked toward 90 and an unprecedented deferment was offered by organizers to the 2013 race.
