Manchester City have joined Arsenal and Manchester United by expressing interest in Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mario Gotze.
The 20-year-old playmaker revealed he is keen to play for United at some stage but Champions League semi-finalists Dortmund value him at around £35m and expect him to stay another season.
Gotze was guilty of a host of missed chances in the Champions League quarter-final tie with Malaga that went right to the wire, but his profligacy in front of goal has not put off would-be buyers.

He said in an interview with German TV station Sport1 last month: 'Clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona or Manchester United are attractive, other top leagues would help me develop.
Goetze signed a contract extension that will keep him at the Westfalenstadion to March 2016 but this is unlikey to deter his admirers.
He added: 'Yes [the contract was a sign he would stay in Dortmund], otherwise I would not be renewed. Then there would have been no reason for it.'
