The 2013 NFL free-agent signing period starts on Tuesday, and the group happens to be seeking many free agents, whilst the Denver Broncos have emphatically denied curiosity about trading for Nyc Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis. In accordance with the Denver Post's Mike Klis, the Broncos have a of 12 to 15" free agents which they feel is actually a fita'at the proper price. Three of these people are now actually known. 1. Defensive End Dwight Freeney Jamie Squire/Getty Images The Broncos are now in a stalemate with Elvis Dumervil, who has a $12 million 2013 income which will becomeAguaranteedAif he is still on the roster on Saturday. Not wanting to spend that much for his services, the Broncos are now seeking a possible replacement, based on ProFootballTalk.com. The top candidate to displace Dumervil is one of quarterback Peyton Manning's former teammates, Dwight Freeney. On Saturday evening, Tennessee Titans writer Terry McCormick tweeted that Denver shows "early interest" in Freeney. Just before McCormick's tweet, the Denver Post ran an account on Denver's interest in Freeney, who is plainly beingAtargetedAby the Broncos. Freeney is 32 (four years over the age of Dumervil) and only recorded five sacks last year, but as a rotational pass-rusher across from Von Miller, he'd be profitable in Denver's 4-3 defense, at an acceptable cost. 2. Defensive End OsiAUmenyiora Yet another candidate to displace Dumervil is Osi Umenyiora, who McCormick also from the staff on Saturday morning. AUmenyiora is also avove the age of Dumervil (31), but features a couple of Super Bowl rings and 75 profession carriers. At the proper price, Umenyiora would put in a active aspect to Denver's security. Two years before, the Broncos were among seven groups that tried and did not trade for Umenyiora's solutions in 2011, according to a NYDailyNews.com history. The Broncos apparently continue to be enthusiastic about Umenyiora, and if Dumervil is cut or released, defensive end will quickly become a position of dependence on the team. Jared Wickerham/Getty Photos 3.ARunning Straight back Rashard Mendenhall Mendenhall "has attracted attention from the Broncos" based on the Denver Post, confirming that the group expects to include another running back once again to the backfield this offseason. AMendenhall is only 25 and could easily fit in a Manning-led offense, but Klis reports that the Broncos' level of interest in the RB is "difficult to gauge." The Broncos have been linked to Shonn Greene and Steven Jackson this offseason, Mendenhall is likely one of many shells the staff gives a look. With the futures of Willis McGahee and Knowshon Moreno unknown, search for the staff to incorporate a minumum of one RB this spring. next week stay tuned in since the free agency signing time unfolds.
