It’s little wonder that Westlake was undefeated entering this weekend's playoff game with Klein. What’s surprising, however, is that Goldberg has decided not to play soccer in college.

That means her days of competitive action on the pitch are drawing to a close and there would be no better ending than helping Westlake bring home the first state championship in school history.

"This year, it's something we can achieve,” Goldberg said. “We know we can do it. If we do everything right, we should be able to get there.”

Goldberg and the Chaps beat Klein 2-0 Friday night in the playoffs. Westlake now advances to the regional semifinals.
