Tottenham need to go to Switzerland without nearly all of their best people and score one or more times to advance to the Europa League semifinals. Have fun! What do FC Basel need to do to get into the next round of the Europa League? Beat Tottenham Hotspur, obviously. That feat seems much more easy this week than it did last -- their trip to White Hart Lane saw the Swiss side get two essential away objectives and outplay the Londoners in a 2-2 pull, and perhaps more significantly, included accidents to both Gareth Bale and Aaron Lennon. Oh, and Basel have won four straight Europa League games at St. Jakob-Park. If Tottenham were the favourites to make the journey to the semifinals prior to the first kick, that is certainly changed now. Expect a fantastic match. The initial leg was silly, a high-paced occasion presenting questionable defending but persistent targeting and for some time it seemed like Basel would be able to try to escape with the whole thing, just for Spurs to haul themselves back into competition with objectives from Emmanuel Adebayor and Gylfi Sigurdsson. The much-maligned Adebayor now has objectives in every one of his last two appearances, and with much of Tottenham's firepower on leading lines, they'll be counting on him significantly more than ever. N/A Out: Gareth Bale (leg), Aaron Lennon (knee), Sandro (knee), William Gallas (leg), Jermain Defoe (hip). Date/Time: Thursday, April 11. 9:05 pm CEST, 8:05 pm BST, 3:05 pm EDT. Venue: St. Jakob-Park, Basel, Switzerland. TELEVISION information: TeleClub Sport (Switzerland), ITV 1 (UK), Fox Soccer Channel (USA).
