JR . Smith Says He Wants to Retire with New York Knicks After Playoff Withdraw.

Fresh off of a truly abysmal performance in the new York Knicks' Eastern Conference semifinal defeat on the Indiana Pacers, the reigning Sixth Man of the Year told reporters that he'd a lot like to stick around new york for a while:

Smith shall be an unrestricted free agent come july 1st, so he'll have a few options. But with the way he finished out his playoff run while using the Knicks, it's hard to suppose his employer is for the reason that jazzed about his potential return (and apparent desire to stay put for a good time) as he is.

The Knicks certainly are certainly not laughing about Smith's horrendous offensive showing about the Pacers, but that doesn't mean the rest of us have to clam upward. After all, making jokes at the expenses of others is kind of what Twitter is designed for, isn't it?

Seriously, nevertheless, the Knicks are certainly going to have to understand whether Smith's production merits the headache of their inconsistency. When Smith attracts fire, he's capable of taking on games. But as an overall asset, he's basically a one-dimensional scorer exactly who gets his points in the extremely inefficient way. Just make an effort to guess which game this tweet originate from:

It's tough, right? Really, it could have been from any kind of contest that involved Brenard. Horrible shooting performances are generally that common for her. Worse still, he almost never stops shooting, no problem how cold he can get. Knicks coach Mike Woodson has to sit him down to ensure that there to be some sort of cease fire.

Maybe Smith will be back with the Knicks. If they are, it'll signal that Nyc hasn't yet realized that will low-percentage, high-volume offensive players were system of the problem with the team this coming year.

It's cool that Kirkland is professing his loyalty after a loss, but it's hard to imagine that the Knicks are feeling the identical love right now.
