Kentucky Derby 2013 Lineup: Post Opportunities for Every Single Horse

Your day that horse racing fans every where have been awaiting is finally here, as the 139th managing of the Kentucky Derby can take place at Churchill Downs. The winner will immortalize himself in the history of the game, however it is extremely difficult to predict who will cross the final line first. There's a lot of talent through the entire industry in the shape of jockeys, horses and trainers. Progressive has been installed while the favorite until now, but at least 50% of the field has a realistic chance at winning. The lines are continually changing, so it's really difficult to get a knowledge on the horses that the public enjoys ahead of the battle. Whatever the case, here is the complete starting order, detailed with current gambling possibilities, even though those are sure to change during the day. Also, have a look at my estimated trifecta following the post positions and chances. Full Starting Order *Odds due to KentuckyDerby.com Projected Trifecta 1. Goldencents While Goldencents has been approved while the betting favorite by Revolutionary, he obviously has most of the instruments essential to get. Not just is he a great horse who has won three out of his previous four events, but he also has a lot of good karma in his favor. He'll be ridden by Kevin Krigger, who may become the first African-American jockey to get the Kentucky Derby since Jimmy Winkfield in 1902. Goldencents can be trained by Doug O'Neill, who brought I will Have Yet another to a Kentucky Derby win last year. Along with that, Goldencents is beginning in the effective No. 8 position. If all that is not enough, famous interviewer Larry King loves him as well. Possession might not issue once a gets on the course, but Louisville head basketball coach Rick Pitino owns five per cent of Goldencents. Pitino is coming off of a national championship gain, so perhaps his hot streak can keep on. No horse in the area has as much good storylines surrounding it as Goldencents, and that produces him a really serious competitor. 2. Palace Malice Temperature may well may play a role, also, while the over all quality of the horses in this competition can obviously have a significant effect on the final. It figures to be wet all day at Churchill Downs, that will be sure to create for a bad racing area. Some horses are much better than others in the mud, and Palace Malice could be the most readily useful in that regard. It's unclear how horses will perform on a sloppy track until they actually get out there, but Palace Malice has history on his part. His father is the good Curlin, who had been wonderful if the circumstances were hard. A video of Curlin earning the 2007 Breeders' Cup Classic at Monmouth Park was placed on Palace Malice's formal Twitter account today. The track was very muddy that day, and maybe it's the exact same at Churchill Downs today. Building Malice also has a great starting position at No. 10 and is going to be led by the desire mix of jockey Mike Smith and coach Todd Pletcher. Rain is a good equalizer in horse racing, and even though Palace Malice is really a longer shot at the moment, the circumstances might work to his advantage. 3. Itsmyluckyday In sticking with the bad condition style, Itsmyluckyday is better equipped to competition in dirt than any horse in the area. According to Larry Stumes of the San Francisco Bay Area Chronicle (registration needed), Itsmyluckyday is one of the several horses in the area who has operate on a surface previously. That should give him a huge advantage over some of the other horses, as knowledge in that situation is important. Itsmyluckyday also has a solid starting position at No. 12, and players have already been throwing money in his direction since Wednesday. It's possible that Itsmyluckyday will soon be among the favorites by the full time that the battle starts, and that shouldn't discourage you from placing him in your trifecta. Wisconsin State Journal activities author Tom Oates is one of several media people who are heralding Itsmyluckyday in front of the Run for the Roses. Itsmyluckyday has won three of his previous four events and finished 2nd to Orb in the exclusive Florida Derby. Thanks to his record and that in the mud, there is a lot to like about him. While Goldencents appears to have greater peripherals and is really a safer bet to win the race, Itsmyluckyday numbers to stay the mix near the end. Follow @MikeChiari on Twitter
